Connect your trash bag to the edge.
Pull your existing trash bag to the side and hook it over the rim. No extra bags needed — your regular trash bag handles the trash side.

Expand the bin.
Pull the two telescoping pieces apart and click them into place — a simple pull and lock to extend the bin to full size.
STEP 04
Drop it in.
Set the expanded bin into the rim. Compost on one side, trash on the other — done.

California's SB 1383 asks every resident to separate food waste and food-soiled paper — paper plates, napkins, paper towels, greasy cardboard — from regular trash.
